Trends Shoppers Uncertain about Different Cuts of Meat Published: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 When surveying both heavy pork consumers and average pork consumers, a recent report found that a majority of both groups believed that “top loin” pork chops were superior to pork loin chops or pork rib chops. “The top loin pork chop was overwhelmingly thought to be tender, better quality, and what both groups would purchase,” Jarrod Sutton, assistant vice president of channel marketing for the National Pork Board.
